As a weight loss surgery patient it is necessary for me to increase the protein content in almost everything I eat. Most traditional protein powders, however, are not easily compatible with hot foods. They "curdle" very easily whether added to hot food or heated up with the food, and the steps necessary to minimize that(tempering) are complicated. Iconic protein does NOT curdle, no matter what. The unexpected bonus was discovering I could stir hot coffee into the vanilla powder and mix it up easily, turning my coffee into a wonderful protein rich way to start my day. What a great discovery!
