How to Pimp Your Home Gym on a Budget

How to Pimp Your Home Gym on a Budget

You may have been cooped up for a while now because of the pandemic. Some of us had the privilege of an outdoor gym opening near us, while some of us cancelled our gym memberships and started working out from home. We are here to give you 5 inexpensive things to add to your home gym to mix things up. You don’t need a lot of room for these additions, so having limited space is not an issue!

  • Jump Rope
  • Having a jump rope in your home is a must! You can burn 200-300 calories and get a full body workout in just 15 minutes. You can get a simple jump rope to start and move up to a weighted jump rope once you feel comfortable!

  • Resistance Bands
  • Switch up your strength exercises by incorporating a resistance band into your routine. You can build upper and lower body strength with these, making them a great addition to any workout.

  • Yoga Mat
  • Yoga mats are a great addition to your home gym! They are compact enough for you to throw into the back of your car if you want to head to the park to workout, or you can simply stow it away into the corner of your room. These are great for many exercises, like planks or sit ups, in addition to yoga!

  • Doorway Pullup Bar
  • If you are looking for a cheap piece of equipment to help you build your upper body strength- look no further! You can find these for as cheap as $25. Pull-ups are a great way to strengthen your back, core and arm muscles.

  • Medicine Ball
  • Medicine balls can be used as an alternative to dumbbells in some workouts. You can find these in a variety of weights from 2-15 pounds, making them perfect for beginners or pro’s. They are about the size of a basketball, making them a perfect fit for a small space!

Protein helps repair and build your muscles, so make sure you grab an ICONIC to drink after your workout! Meeting your daily protein needs will optimize your muscle building capabilities.
