What better way to celebrate the launch of our new Coconut Matcha ICONIC Protein than with some delicious, easy-to-make donuts? These little guys make a great breakfast, afternoon snack or healthy dessert, especially when paired with your favorite ICONIC flavor!
Preheat over to 350 degrees. Mix banana, egg and ICONIC Protein, making sure that the banana is thoroughly mashed. Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add wet and dry ingredients and stir thoroughly to create the batter. Grease a donut pan with coconut oil (we like Chosen Foods' spray coconut oil!) and spoon batter into the pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Once donuts are baked and firm, remove from pan and transfer to a cooling rack.
To keep these donuts light and healthy, we used a combination of Siggi's yogurt and ICONIC Protein, dusted with coconut flakes, to make the topping. If you want to up the protein, you could always make a protein frosting by adding a little water to plain protein powder, and if you're craving something a little sweeter, Simple Mills makes a yummy organic Vanilla Frosting.
